1. How long does it take? The average time from start to finish is about 120 days.
2. How rigorous is the process? We don't grant spiritual authority, we do take the call of God very seriously. in 2006 approximately 75% of applications were approved.
3. Can I be ordained by another organization & 2 Timothy 4:5? No. Ordination is reserved to God and Him alone, 2 Timothy 4:5 acknowledges that appointment, and provides support services. All affiliates agree to singularly support a common leadership.
4. Can we hold an affiliation with another organization & 2 Timothy 4:5? No. Each organization or denomination has differing purposes, mission, and vision. Therefore to ensure we are actively pursuing a common goal we do not allow this. There is noting that would restrict a CMA affiliate from working together with an organization of like faith to accomplish the Great Commission.
5. How do I receive my ordination? Your ordination credentials will be sent to you; as they are representative of what God has done not what man will do.
6. Will I receive financial support once my ordination approved? No. in fact we discourage applicants from considering a potential financial benefit as a reason for applying. We encourage all men to stand in faith believing that God will supply all their needs.
7. Can an ordained minister request support? Yes. However the Overseers take many factor into consideration including time, faithful commitment and prayerful guidance.
8. Will a minister of 2 Timothy 4:5 visit our ministry/church? It depends. We entertain and consider many invitations, both domestic and foreign from affiliates. Over the years we have endeavored to meet as many affiliates in person as we can. The overseers prayerfully consider where and when we travel taking into consideration factors like financial considerations, impact and timing.
9. How do we receive our affiliation? Your documents will be sent via e-mail or postal mail.
